Our Kings Langley nursery consists of four different rooms set out over two floors. These rooms include a baby room with a separate built-in sleep room and also a built-in sensory room, a toddler room with a large reading area overlooking the garden, a pre-school room with a brightly coloured sensory/ science area, and a classroom with a built-in role playhouse and writing area. We have been very lucky to keep some of the main features of the building included exposed beams creating a homely feel.
There is a car park to the front of our nursery for our parents to use when dropping off or collecting their children. This has a one-way system in place.
Our day nursery has the perfect set-up for anyone who needs childcare in Kings Langley and the surrounding areas and is easy for anyone who commutes from Kings Langley Train Station with it only being 1 mile away.
Like all of our nurseries, the children’s safety is our top priority. This starts with our perimeter CCTV coverage, access control held by magnetic locks with authorised personnel only being permitted into the premises.

Kings Langley Nursery Rooms
Baby Room
Our baby room has soft flooring throughout so the babies are able to roam around easily. There are lots of wooden toys and resources for them to explore including blocks, a role play kitchen with a tea set and low units with baskets for the children to select which toys they would like to play with.
The Babies have their own garden with artificial grass making it soft for babies to crawl on. There is a range of toys outside for them to enjoy.
Toddler Room
Our toddler room has space for a range of tabletop activities, as well as plenty of space for activities on the floor. They also have a sensory area and large windows overlooking the garden.
We encourage the toddlers in this room to choose the activities they want to play and engage with, the units are all at child height and all toys are housed in wicker baskets ensuring easy access to all of the resources on offer.
The toddlers enjoy playing with a range of toys that encourage them to have lots of fun and begin to understand sharing as well as building on their communication skills.
PreSchool
The pre-school children are able to build on their independence for example by getting themselves ready for the garden.
There is an art area and book corner with comfy cushions. We also have a science area, where the children engage in different experiments.
Our pre-schoolers enjoy playing in the role play area where there is a range of dress-up accessories as well as a child-friendly kitchen.
Tabletop activities are also set up throughout the day covering areas of the EYFS. Encouraging turn-taking, communication and sharing.
Classroom
The children in this room can self serve their own breakfast and are also able to self serve their own drinks throughout the day.
The children have access to a range of writing materials and activities are set up to help prepare the children for school.
The Classroom children have use of a large role play house, science area, maths area and construction area with tool station.
The children have a lovely window seat to enjoy a variety of books and stories and to also engage in conversation with both their peers and staff about the wider community- How many red cars can you see? Did you see the ambulance drive past?
In this room, we have plenty of fun whilst the children are preparing for school. We carry out a ready for school week where the children take part in activities including viewing photos of the local schools, having the register taken as well as using a packed – lunch box. The classroom children will engage in other activities including cooking, dancing and gymnastics.
Kings Langley Nursery Garden
We have two garden areas at our Kings Langley day nursery, one of the outside areas is for the babies and toddlers. This garden has a tree offering shade where staff can take books for quiet time while still enjoying the fresh air. The children also have a playhouse and tuff tray for them to explore sensory activities outdoors. The top garden is for our pre-school and classroom children. This has a large undercover area with a mud kitchen, tuff tray and weighing scales. There is also room to play on the artificial grass and an area for planting and growing.
